Does Orbis require a monthly subscription?
No. Orbis supports local storage with a microSD card (up to 128GB), allowing you to save recordings without paying monthly subscription fees. Cloud storage is also available as an optional backup solution if you prefer additional storage capacity and remote access.
How long does the battery last on a solar security camera?
SmartBase supports Ethernet connection (recommended) and 2.4GHz WiFi; 5GHz WiFi is not supported.
- Ethernet (Recommended):
Stable and neat. Connect directly to a wall network port, Mesh satellite LAN port, or switch without long cables from the main router. Use existing wiring and place the base station close to the camera for optimal signal.
- WiFi Connection:
Only supports 2.4GHz. Place the base station 5–8 meters between the router and camera, minimizing wall obstructions to ensure good signal quality.
Can Orbis work in rainy, cloudy, or extreme weather conditions?
Yes. Orbis is designed for year-round outdoor use and can continue operating in a wide range of weather conditions.During cloudy or rainy weather, solar charging efficiency may decrease because less sunlight reaches the solar panel. However, the built-in rechargeable battery stores reserve power to help keep the camera running when solar charging is temporarily limited. Orbis‘s Solar Panel operates within a temperature range of -20°C to 60°C (-4°F to 140°F), allowing it to perform in both cold winters and hot summer conditions. In extreme temperatures, battery performance and charging efficiency may be temporarily affected, which is normal for rechargeable battery-powered devices.The solar panel and camera are also designed for outdoor installation and everyday exposure to changing weather conditions. For the best long-term performance, we recommend installing the system in a location with adequate sunlight and proper drainage to avoid standing water or excessive debris accumulation.

Featuring 360° pan, 95° tilt, and a detection distance of up to 15 m (50 ft), it can cover a wider area than traditional fixed-position security cameras.A single Orbis camera is well suited for monitoring a typical driveway, front yard, backyard, garage entrance, workshop, or similar outdoor space. Using the Anona app, you can remotely adjust the viewing angle to check different parts of your property without needing multiple fixed cameras.Coverage performance may vary depending on installation height, viewing angle, lighting conditions, and surrounding obstacles.
